What is it?  

Each luxurious suite at Vista Encantada has an ocean view from generous-sized balconies.  There is a full kitchen (with all you need), dining area, walk-in double-head shower, free-standing bathtub, and walk-in closet.  No two rooms are the same with the exquisite decor you will notice throughout the entire resort.  Colorful artwork, unique sculptures, and textures, plus a blend of contemporary and traditional Mexican design make you feel like you’re at home away from home.

The landscape is charming with various common areas sprinkled throughout.  Vibrant flowers and plants surround the resort as well as water fountains and fireplaces.  There is even a nice, steep, little hiking trail that takes you up the cliff to the endearing church (which offers mass on Sundays) and the fully operating lighthouse.

Vista Encantada is the newest add-on to shared property and sister property all owned and operated by Mexico Grand Hotels.  So whether you’re wanting a romantic couples retreat, a family vacation or a milestone birthday celebration, they have got you covered.

What to eat?  

The    at Vista Encantada are plentiful and endless.  You can indulge your senses with the colors and flavors of fine signature dining at Mestizo Del Mar, Los Riscos Mesquite Grill and Bar, and Las Marias Restaurant and Bar all offering ocean views, sitting high upon the natural cliffs of the property.  Savor Italian-Mediterranean cuisine at Barolo Cucina Italiano or relax fireside for a more casual pizza menu at the outdoor pool bar and restaurant Il Forno Pizza alla Legna & Pool Bar.  La Trajinera is the answer to your Mexican Gourmet craving or El Eden Taco & Tequila Bar for a more casual tradition.  Poolside options are available with favorites like burgers and salads.  Grab and go can be found at Lola Mia serving fresh Starbucks coffee menu items or Fresco Juice Bar & Natural Delights with its fresh squeezed juices and a health-conscious menu conveniently located next to the Milagro Spa.  Basically, food and beverage are located all throughout the property as well as a mini market for any grocery or miscellaneous items you may need! Wellness at Vista Encantada

There are plenty of adventure activities surrounding the area but if rejuvenation and relaxation are what the doctor ordered, prepare for an amazing reset at this delightful and welcoming little palace in the Pacific. The hospitable and friendly concierge team is readily available to assist with treatments at the   Enjoy custom facials, massages and body wraps laced with herbs and plants that heal the mind, body, and spirit.  There is also a salon for any hair and nail services that may be needed.

One of my favorite places at Vista Encantada was the rooftop infinity pool, hot tub, and workout center.  On one side you could witness sunrise over the ocean (if you’re up early enough) while on the other you could watch the most alluring sunsets with the famous Arch in the distance.  The pool has a chill vibe great for reading or sunbathing.  The workout room is impressive with a full-time trainer/attendant to assist you with the numerous cardio and resistance machines and free weights systems.  It’s super clean and tidy,  and you guessed it, ocean views all around which help the workout go by a little quicker.

 

The property does have several pools including an adults-only infinity pool overlooking the ocean with a swim-up bar and restaurant (my second favorite place), kid’s pools with splash pads and slides, and a family pool with swim-up bar located on the Hacienda Encantada side.

 

What I did not expect was the onsite available   of four or more.  This purifying ritual is great for anyone wanting a physical and spiritual detox.  Often compared to a sweat lodge, however, it’s deeply rooted in pre-hispanic ancestry with benefits of healing the sick and improving health.

The concierge is available to arrange bike rentals and horseback riding for guests at the resort.  All guests can take part in the pickleball, tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball courts conveniently located close to all suites and rooms.

With relaxation being a priority, it’s important to do your research before you go.  Vista Encantada truly feels like a home away from home.  The hospitality is unsurpassed and the food and amenities are phenomenal.
