YD – How did you get into yoga?
RC – I started yoga when I was in High School over 20 years ago. I was an athlete active in three different sports year round and needed to stretch more and calm my mind.
RC – This past year I made an effort to FaceTime with two of my teachers from Las Angels either weekly or as often as our schedules allowed. I also fly out to L.A. once or twice a year to take their classes in person. I make as much of an effort as I can to always continue to learn more and always be a student.
RC – Yoga is so important in our world today because of all the negativity, stress, and constant electronic stimulation we face. Yoga teaches us to breathe, become centered, go inward and be in the moment. Yoga can teach our world to be more calm and peaceful.
RC – As a studio owner and author, what I like least about yoga is how the yoga community can get competitive and separated, rather than supportive and yoga-like.
RC – In 10 years I see the yoga community growing in popularity and changing the world positively by reinforcing the importance of self care and mindfulness.
RC – Be Good. Do Good. Work Hard. Stay Grounded.
