Years ago, when I began practicing yoga, one of the things that fascinated me was when I looked in the mirror I noticed that I looked different. My skin felt better, my eyes were clear—I felt good from the inside out. Over the years, I’ve had the fortune to be able to share the gift of yoga with others, and watch as they develop their own “yoga glow”.
When it comes to cultivating lasting beauty, yoga has some amazingly simple secrets that help us look and feel our best. The most wonderful thing about a yoga lifestyle is that it allows us to uncover our natural inner beauty—beauty that endures the inevitable test of time.
Rather than overspending on costly creams, treatments, and cosmetic surgery, try adding these 5 simple practices to your life. You’ll be surprised how much better you can look and feel.
#1) A yoga diet for greater vitality and youthfulness
One of the keys to cultivating natural vitality and youthfulness lies in what we eat. A yoga diet consists of colorful, tasty, and nutritious fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, legumes, and milk products that promote the kind of inner health that radiates outward.
Beauty-enhancing super foods to give you a youthful, healthy glow include Vitamin C rich foods like blueberries, strawberries, apples, tomatoes, spinach, sweet potato, soy, walnuts, and almonds.
#2) Stay Hydrated

While different yoga lifestyle practices can help us look healthier and more youthful, the reality is that nothing can prevent aging of the body. For many, aging causes great anxiety. However, this fear can be easily overcome by cultivating yoga wisdom.
