4 Reasons To Stop Caring What Others Think

WHEN YOU ARE INSPIRED BY SOME GREAT PURPOSE, SOME EXTRAORDINARY PROJECT, ALL YOUR THOUGHTS BREAK THEIR BONDS:   YOUR MIND TRANSCENDS LIMITATIONS, YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS EXPANDS IN EVERY DIRECTION, AND YOU FIND YOURSELF IN A NEW, GREAT AND WONDERFUL WORLD.   DORMANT FORCES, FACULTIES AND TALENTS COME ALIVE, AND YOU DISCOVER YOURSELF TO BE A GREATER PERSON BY FAR THAN YOU EVER DREAMED YOURSELF TO BE. ~ PATANJALI

From the time we are young we learn to want what others have, try to fit in and conform to what we think society wants and expects of us. We aim to please, follow the rules, do the ‘right thing’ and play it safe.   Here are a few reasons why you should stop caring what others think and start coloring outside the lines a little bit!

1.   You are the absolute greatest at being yourself. You are a one of a kind, limited edition, unique masterpiece. You have a gift, an ability that no one else in this world possesses. Keeping that to yourself or trying to hide it would be unfair to the world. Be you!   Try to see the small miracle it is that you cannot be duplicated!   Even if you found an identical twin to wear your clothes and do your job, it would not be you, your thoughts or emotions.

2.   What others think of you is not your business. How many people really know you?   I mean REALLY know you?   Most people who judge you really don’t know you, they only observe you.   The ones who do know are not genuinely concerned with every detail of your daily life, just the parts that annoy or affect them.   They might be concerned with how your actions will impact others opinions of them because they associate with you.   So really, it’s their issue …not yours!   A friend of mine once told me “people are going to love you and people are going to hate you and it will have absolutely nothing to do with you. ”   Keep it simple and just be yourself!

3.   “When people don’t like you nothing actually happens, “ says Julien Smith of Breather.   The world doesn’t end, you’re life doesn’t end. You win some, you lose some.   In fact, if someone doesn’t like you, it might be because you’re extraordinary and your awesomeness makes them uncomfortable.   Like Marriane Williamson says ” there is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. ”   If the people around you don’t like you, it’s time to find new people to be around. Find people who lift you and love you just the way you are!

4.   Life is short.   Cliche`?   Yes, but it’s the stone cold truth.   You could spend your whole life trying to be everything to everybody and never succeed.   Stick with making the best of your days in your truest form.   You will win authentic friendships, happiness and peace in every realm of your world!   It’s a form of freedom and when a person feels free to be themselves the magic starts to happen; creativity flows and happiness endures!   Life is way too short to waste a minute trying to be somewhat you’re not.   Some people waste years of their life fulfilling someone else’s dream or expectation.     Be yourself, people will get over it.   As   Bernard M. Baruch says “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those matter don’t mind. ”
